Debra has painted as a traditional artist for many years doing mostly post-impressionist styled acrylics on canvas, inspired by the Fauvists and the Post Impressionists.

Since 2017, Debra has been working on a new style of urban inspired works in the subject of popular culture and iconic people. She is aiming to achieve a feeling of freedom in her art, to give the viewers permission to be transported into a new, modern world. Her influences are the pop artists Takashi Murakami, Andy Warhol, and Wayne Thiebaud. The artwork is created using spray paint and acrylics, which is then finished with paint, pens and oil sticks.
