Jani‘s art emerges from the page in a process she likens to a treasure hunt. 

She relishes the emergence of shape and form which then gives birth to transformative action.  Jani’s drawings are a mix of abstraction and representation; they are “found” by the artist rather than “planned” by her. Jani’s work draws in the viewer, compels a closer study.  They are intriguing – at once recognisable and yet surprising.
