Jessie Macaw is a mixed media, intuitive painter from Tairua, New Zealand.

Colour, texture and mark making is a constant theme in her work and, as an intuitive painter, she lets the painting direct her. For her it’s about the process and the art is a dialogue between herself and the work. The layers are created to reflect current moments in time; emotions, thoughts and ideas. She seeks to impart a sense of vitality, humour and joy, a celebration of colour and quirks.
