Jo Rankin has spent her adult life immersed in various creative sectors. A qualified interior designer, she previously owned her own business in Auckland before relocating to Kinloch in 2010. It was during this transition that her passion for painting truly took shape, driven by a deep love for exploring colour and design.
Over the years, Jo has completed numerous online programs to refine her painting techniques, eventually discovering her strong affinity for abstract art.
Her dedication to artistic growth led her to achieve certification from Artists Academy (MOMA USA) and earn a diploma in abstraction from Artists Network University. In 2019, Jo was among five New Zealand artists selected to be filmed by the Australian production company Put Some Colour in Your Life. Her 30-minute feature, now available on YouTube, has reached audiences worldwide through distribution on various art and TV channels.
Jo is grateful for the loyal support of galleries and collectors who appreciate her contemporary abstract style, which continues to evolve and inspire.
