Kim Cleverton

Originally from Melbourne, Kim relocated to Napier in 1977. While she once dreamed of becoming an art teacher during high school, life took her in a different direction, and she didn’t begin painting until retiring in 2019. As a self-taught artist, she works primarily with acrylics in a semi-abstract style.

Kim is best known for her striking depictions of skies, though she occasionally brings florals into her work. She has exhibited in several local shows and has been fortunate to have her art accepted into both the Wellington and Auckland art shows
