Lynette Fisher

Lynette’s art practice encompasses painting, printmaking, drawing and assemblage which she regularly exhibits in solo and group shows throughout Aotearoa New Zealand.

Currently she is painting with acrylic on linen with found fabrics which she uses to explore themes of adoption, guardianship and belonging by recontextualising familiar imagery. Though her work often carries a nostalgic undertone, she introduces tensions that question the conventional understanding of time and identity, especially as they relate to maternal lineage.
