Paddy has been carving for about 30 years and currently works and displays his art at his studio gallery in Bay View.
He carves (only New Zealand) native wood and pounamu (jade). He employs his daughter Natasha (Tash), and they both carve (only New Zealand) pounamu (jade) pendants and sculptures. This is important as most of the jade sold in New Zealand now comes from overseas. Paddy also makes metal sculptures.
About half of of his sculptures go overseas, particularly the pounamu pendants. His current work available can be seen on his fb and insta pages New Zealand Wood and Jade, and also at his home studio by arrangement.
