SONIA CHRYSTALL – ARTIST BIO Drawing inspiration from the natural world and specialising in painting intuitively, Sonia Chrystall works from her home studio in Te Āwanga, Hawke’s Bay. 

Increasingly, her work has moved towards an exploration of the New Zealand landscape, while still allowing colour and layers woven together to define her work. Shapes move between abstract and realistic – symbolic in part of our inner and outer worlds and the delicate balance and interconnection of all.

Sonia sells her work privately and through various NZ galleries and is also the Coordinator of the Hawke’s Bay Art Trail.
